Is anybody fucking home?

Circumstances have today taken me past both wembley and emmirates stadiums in the hours of darkness and apart from the obvious they have a couple of things in common.

Firstly there are no matches due to be played there for some time. Some weeks for the former and some days for the latter.

Second, and maybe I'm being over sensitive again, they both had their bloody lights on (internals rather than flood lights I might should add). Why? Why when we are completely fucking over our climate by pumping green house gases into the atmosphere can someone not take the admitedly small but nevertheless really REALLY fucking easy step of TURNING THE GOD DAM LIGHTS OUT WHEN THERE'S NO FUCKER HOME!!!!! This isn't rocket science people, it's not some bit of cutting edge science that no one understands, it's common sense that may even save somebody somewhere some cash.

Come on now, it's not difficult.

I have the same complaint about the health centre across the street from me. The lights there are on all night everynight including Saturdays and Sundays when its closed

You'll probably find that there will have been a party going on. I know when I used to work at a football ground there were always parties and meals going on when there were no matches being played. Also there are always people working there in the offices etc.

Just because there's no matches doesn't mean there's nothing else happening. This time of year especially they'll be working on the planning for Christmas and New Year parties

Screw it, they have to pay the bills so more fool them for their idiocy.

Clara - This time I must disagree. I'm not talking about lights in the club wembley area or a few here and there in the offices where someone may be burning the midnight oil. The lights up all the stair wells and concourses around the whole of both stadiums were clearly on with no one appearing to be around. And I don't think I'm sticking my neck out by saying these aren't the only large buildings that do this, you can see it all the time and drives me mad!
